Historical hotel in Lower Silesia: Kaiserhof

Former Hotel Kaiserhof by architect Robert Klatt, later known as Hotel Polonia, in Dzierżoniów, ul. Sienkiewicza 4, Lower Silesia Voivodeship, Dzierżoniów District.

The building is registered in the register of monuments under the number A/4121/1312/WŁ.

The former hotel has a total area of about 2,400 m² plus outbuildings (garage and utility building with an area of 153 m²), located on a plot of land with an area of 1,809 m². Built in 1908 as Hotel Kaiserhof and extended in the 1920s. The building is built of bricks, plastered, has a basement, 5 floors and a multi-pitched roof.

The Art Nouveau tenement is a unique architectural and city-defining building with decorative facade (garlands, vases with fruits, sculptures as well as risalites and oriels). Due to its location on the river, there are additional tourist uses, e.g. summer terrace/beer garden or similar.

After completion of the renovation works, it can be used as a hotel with a restaurant or as a residential and commercial building with the possibility of creating 23 apartments.

In 2021, a comprehensive renovation of the roof was carried out in accordance with the approval of the restorer. The roof is covered with new plain tiles, new chimneys and gutters and a lightning protection system.
